ENGINES

Reliability is the key reason for the selection of engines used on Pow'R Gard Switchables. The engines meet EPA Tier 1 emission regulations, ensuring a cleaner environment for everyone. The cooling systems are designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions.

VOLTAGE RECONNECTION SWITCH

Pow'R Gard Switchables offer a three-position voltage connection switch. This enables the operator to select one of three voltage combinations:

120 / 240 Volt, 1 and 3 PHASE - Delta Connection

120 / 208 Volt, 3 PHASE - Low Wye Connection

277 / 480 Volt, 3 PHASE - Hi Wye Connection

Pow'R Gard CONTROL SYSTEM

All of the operator controls, metering, voltage reconnection switch and receptacles are located behind one lockable control panel door.

• High water temperature shutdown protects engine in event of water pump failure, radiator blockage, etc.
• Low oil shutdown protects engine before oil pressure drops below acceptable limits.
• Overspeed shutdown protects engine, generator and critical loads from increased speeds, as a result of governor failures or tampering.
• Overcrank lockout - An electronic timer prevents the operator from damaging the starter and battery if the engine does not start successfully.

AUTOMATIC START

Automatic remote start is standard on all units. When interfaced with an automatic transfer switch, the unit becomes an emergency standby system.

SOUND ATTENUATED ENCLOSURES

Heavy gauge steel (12 gauge) and sound insulation keeps sound levels to a minimum, while powder coat paint protects the unit from the harsh outdoors. Extra large access doors are lockable and have heavy-duty hinges.

LARGE INTEGRAL FUEL TANKS

Large, integral base mounted fuel tanks are supplied with every unit. The tank stays with the unit eliminating cumbersome, messy interconnections between unit and trailer tanks as seen on the competition.

FUEL WATER SEPARATORS

Fuel/water separators are included to protect the engine from water and other contaminants.

COLD WEATHER STARTING AIDS

Provides ease of starting in cold weather.
